Christmas & A Great Year

This has been a very exciting year for both Jason and I. It started out great by being engaged, then leading to an incredibly romantic and beautiful wedding day, with our families right behind us and very talented photographer Jacque Taylor, if I must say so myself (jaquelynnphoto.com)♥ Check out her awesome work on her site. We took a fun honeymoon to Cancun/Playa del Carmen, Mexico & also to Southern California (my hometown), the beach and Palm Springs. We came home to find our cute little apartment that we have been living in since April of this year. We have had awesome neighbors living here with us, we are proud to live next door to the Joyces and the Forbes!! Love them! It's always a good time with those guys!! We have also loved this ward we have been in, teaching the nine year olds in primary. We love those kids, and I have learned so much from teaching them. Jason is a great teacher, and I have learned a lot from him on how to kindly discipline children, much about the gospel and many church facts. He is even smarter than I thought he was! It's been a blessing to have that calling with him. Our lease on our apartment is up this month and it worked out so perfectly when we heard about some dear family friends of ours that wanted to rent out their newly remodeled home here in draper to us!! They are giving us a fantastic deal, where we will be charged less a month than we are paying currently. So we are pretty pumped! We make the move next week! And I just can't wait. Let's hope no one slips on this ice moving OUR furniture!! :/ We'll have to bundle up real tight, I'm not looking forward to that part, moving in this 15 degree weather. But none the less, we will be in our new home for Christmas and Jason is already jumping at the idea of putting up our Christmas decorations, new tree, and lights (all for about 2 weeks!!) haha. But I'm right there with him! We love Christmas. And we are looking forward to having a place of our own with much more room for at least a little while. :) We will be celebrating most of our Christmas this year with the Towner family! My dad was home from Iraq for Thanksgiving, as well as my sister and grandma. So, we decided to celebrate Christmas as well while they were here with us!! It was a GREAT two weeks, spending lots of family time; seeing movies, family dinners, games, some shopping, Sees Candy trips, and well just being together again! We love our dad, who is sacrificing so much to be over in Iraq to support the family. What courage that takes. It has not been easy for him, but he is getting through it one day at a time. He loves emails, and checks for them daily. If any of you that know my dad would like to email him please do!! -- cws_racing@yahoo.com -- I am so grateful for the life I have and the blessings we receive daily from living close to our Savior. What a wonderful time of year, a whole month dedicated in honoring our Savior Jesus Christ, and the life he lived; such a wonderful example to all of us. I love you all, I am so grateful for good friends and family who support us and love us unconditionally. What a great plan, knowing we are all here on Earth to learn what this is all about together, and to be tried and tested. I hope we can remember as the New Year comes... what this life is really about. Why is it that we are here? What would make sense in answering that question? I know our Heavenly Father wants us to help each other to get back to Him. He loves us, and He knows our greatest potential. Merry Christmas to all of you, and may the Lord bless you!♥

♫ "So here's my life long wish, my grown-up Christmas list... Not for myself but for a world in need. No more lives torn apart, that wars would never start, that time would heal all hearts. That everyone would have a friend, that right would always win, and love would never end. As children we believed, the grandest sight to see... was something lovely wrapped beneath our tree. But heaven surely knows, that packages and bows... Could never heal a hurting human soul! What is this illusion called, the innocence of youth? Maybe only in our blind belief can we ever find the truth... This is my grown-up Christmas List." ♫

Counting Our Blessings

It's been a while since Jas and I have updated this blog of ours! We have decided to put a little more time into keeping in touch with you guys on here! Life has been so much fun and so busy since we got married in March this year! We both love being married more than we even thought we would!! It's so fun to live with your best friend, to play and to hang out with him.... and well, just to figure out what life's all about together!! :) I feel so blessed in my life right now! I have the greatest husband who treats me so well and that I have so much fun with. A family that I would do anything for, and not only one but TWO families now that I'm married to Jas! I love the Towner family. It's been so much fun getting to know them even better this year. What more in life could I ask for?! I love this time of year when the seasons begin to change and the holidays are coming our way, I feel like it brings in a whole new way of thinking! I'm so excited to spend the holiday season with my cute new husband this year!! I love him more than anything in the world. I never thought it was possible to love someone so much!! I hate leaving his side, even for a second. It will be so stinkin fun to wake up next to him on Christmas morning to see him by my side and to be with him all day! That will be the best Christmas present!! I love you all so much, and I will make sure to keep you all updated on new things going on in our lives from here on out...... XO

Our Story....
(Version told by Jason): We met July 23, 2004 in front of the Reese's home. I was on the phone when I walked out of his backyard in Sandy, Ut. As I walked out I saw Kenzie sitting inside of Harper Anderson's car. My first reaction in seeing her was "wow! she's beautiful, who is she and what is she doing w/ Harper?" Now let me state that's no offense to Harper, but I hadn't seen him w/ her before so I was a bit confused...anyway, I can clearly remember her staring at me, she didn't take her eyes off of me, it was cute ;) I knew then that I had to meet her. So I followed Reese and Harper to his house where I was finally able to meet her. That night we played pool (I let her win) & we sat on the couch and talked for a while. The next day was the 24th of July so that night we watched fireworks & talked some more, I was so excited to see her that second day, but our dream was coming to an end, she was leaving that next day back to California. That is where things got interesting...

(Version told by Kenzie): Okay! He's got it all wrong! Let me set this straight...I pulled up w/ Harper Anderson at Jason Reese's home on July 23, 2004. We were out front talking to Reese when Jason comes walking out from the backyard, on the phone. He did catch my eye, & as I was watching him I noticed his eyes were also set on me. The phone in his hand began to drop under his chin, away from his mouth...I giggled a little. He was so cute. I made sure he followed us to Harper's, my eyes never leaving his car. We got there before him (he was still on the phone talking to his x-girlfriend). So as I was petting the dog Jason walks up behind me & mouths to Harper, "Who's this?" (pointing to me)...As I turn around i see him! (I laugh!) I introduce myself! And well, the rest is history....(oh yes, I might add, he did not let me win in pool. Let's just say I'm a natural at that. And that was how I hooked him!). ♥

Cali

Top of the Stratosphere in Las Vegas on our way out to California. We stopped off and rode the Big Shot, fun fun.

St. George Temple (we had to stop by there on the way)

Is Kenzie Flying... no she definately isn't, nice try babe!

Kenzie was practicing taking pictures of ourselves cause as you can tell, there weren't enough people aroung to take it for us, ha!

I tried a Jalepeno cheese corndog, maybe that's why my face is like that ?
